Metropolitan College Thessaloniki hosted a group of architecture students of University of East London

Thessaloniki Metropolitan College welcomed a group of architecture students and academics of University of East London- our UK educational partner for delivering in Greece BA (Hons) Architecture (Riba Part1) programme of study. Accompanied by their UEL professors, Michele Roelofsma and Alex Scot Withby, second and third year students attended interesting lectures and fascinating workshops, during their 5 day-long stay.

Intrigued by the eco-friendly policy and goals that Thessaloniki’s mayor, Mr Konstantinos Zervas, has set, Mrs Roelofsma and Mr Withby suggested the city as the main theme and object of research for the unit “Design” they teach.

During their educational visit, UEL students had the opportunity to collaborate with Metropolitan College architecture students, and, also, to have fruitful meetings sharing ideas and opinions. Additionally, students enjoyed guided tours in the city centre. They visited worth seeing monuments, as well as, the districts and blocs that will be their source of inspiration for, this year’s, architecture designs. UEL and Metropolitan College Αrchitecture and Εngineering professors had insightful conversations with the students of both educational institutes.
