Internationally recognised Master of Science degree from the University of East London.
MSc Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems
REASONS FOR CHOOSING THIS PROGRAMME
Degree from a top International University
Certified by ARM
Along with the studies, students have the opportunity to attend the Efficient Embedded System Design seminar programme, which leads to ARM certification. It is the only educational institution in southern Europe that became an ARM Certified Training Partner.
Classes in laboratories
Numerous hours of learning in advanced electrical engineering labs
Flexible class schedule
Ideal timetable for working students and completion of studies in one academic year.
The MSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems was designed according to the standards set by the UK Engineering Council in the Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC) and leads to the acquisition of professional qualifications in dynamically changing aspects of Electrical Engineering.
During their studies, students will focus on advanced topics of the science of electrical engineering and will expand their knowledge in the field as well as in the design and implementation of modern systems. A range of assessment methods (written examinations, attending lectures and laboratory seminars based on performing written essays) encourage deeper understanding and enable the development of the skills necessary for successful professional employment.
As part of the course, each student will complete a four-month individual project (thesis), where they will apply their knowledge to carry out a research-based and in-depth analysis and design of their topic of choice. The project will be tailored to the individual interests of students and can be performed in the proprietary Engineering Laboratories of the Metropolitan College or, following a relevant agreement, in an industrial setting.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The postgraduate course in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems is the natural continuation of British undergraduate Electrical Engineering courses and the respective courses of Greek Technological Educational Institutes, since its successful completion also marks the completion of the study cycle required for being granted professional rights in the sector. Electrical Engineers deal with various aspects of technology and are responsible for designing, developing, testing as well as supervising the production of equipment and machinery.
The course’s graduates can seek employment in several industries and projects, such as:
- Power and control systems for Aircraft and Automotive vehicles;
- Alternative energy sources;
- Electricity Distribution Networks.
The course is aimed at graduates and qualified engineers, whose specialities are related to the sector of Electrical Engineering, who wish to advance professionally in the sector of Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems.
