The MSc in Computer Games Development at the Metropolitan College is the only postgraduate course in Greece aimed at Computing graduates who wish to work professionally in the field of development of game applications for various computer platforms.
The specialised postgraduate curriculum provides both a theoretical and practical background in key areas of computer game development, such as: specific programming topics related to application development in different environments (Unity3D, UnReal), design of game scenarios and levels, as well as management methodologies for game development projects.
The goal is for students to acquire the necessary skills and qualifications that will enable them to fully develop a game, whether it is intended for PCs, mobiles, or to be applied in other sciences (such as Virtual Reality applications for factories, etc.). To this end, emphasis is placed on advanced application development methods in specific environments and on the design of different scenarios and levels of a digital game.
The nature of the computer game industry enhances the competitiveness of MSc Computer Games Development graduates as well as their prospects of professional integration in the labour market. It is an industry growing very rapidly, especially in the era of continuous evolution of Smartphones.
