MA Acting at Metropolitan College is a unique programme for those who wish to conquer the professional field of acting by collaborating and interacting with renowned artists and professionals in the performing arts. It is addressed to graduates of drama schools and theatre studies, professional actors, as well as graduates of different disciplines with previous working experience in acting.

MA Acting is an immersive dive into the sanctuary of the actor’s art and uses a scientific approach to the creative process, the outcomes of rehearsals and interacting with the audience. Students are trained in practice, in the most modern acting systems, as well as in the production and promotion of performances that may be based on their original and personal ideas and inspirations. Also, through practice (Par/ Practice as Research), they get to familiarise themselves with the most groundbreaking research methods. In this framework, the programme supports every creative idea that the student has whether it is artistic or interdisciplinary. The objective is for students to share their work with the most prestigious, specialised, global versions on practical research in the fields of theatre, cinema and performing arts in general.

Each course requires preparation, as students receive presentation material, followed by direct feedback. Personal involvement, study time and preparation of a personal advancement plan in collaboration with the mentor provided by the programme are crucial stages in the development of students as professional actors. Postgraduate dissertations are another key element of the programme, as they allow students to master valuable self-assessment techniques and understand how to promote their work.

The teaching staff consists strictly of renowned and award-wining professionals, with performances in Greek and international festivals as well as personal research. In addition, Metropolitan College, in collaboration with the University of East London, has a wide network of partners who work as producers, directors and casting directors in Greece and abroad, who are available to advise all students on their professional steps. These professionals are members of the audience in the postgraduate performances that are held in central theatres in Athens or selected venues.
