The postgraduate course MSc Sports Physiotherapy at the Metropolitan College aims at providing specialisation in research and critical assessment of the Physiotherapy science, with an emphasis on the rehabilitation of athletes.
The main axes of the Master’s degree are to foster a critical and investigative spirit regarding contemporary Physiotherapeutic approaches and techniques related to the areas of disease and injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.

The curriculum includes attending three clinical seminars on contemporary topics during the course of the programme:
Clinical Seminar on Geriatric Physiotherapy (addressing the topics of: Assessing Balance, Preventing Falls),
Clinical Seminar on Neurological Rehabilitation (addressing the topic of: Rehabilitation of a Paretic Upper Limb) and
Clinical Seminar on Paediatric Neurological Rehabilitation (addressing the topics of: Clinical Reasoning, Assessing and Recording Gait Disorders, Treatment Plan, Therapeutic Intervention).
One of the additional benefits of this postgraduate course is the collaboration of Metropolitan College with laboratories in Athens and Thessaloniki, where the modules are taught, which specialise in biomechanics and the assessment of human activities.
