"Offering a superb Experience by meeting the standards of HNWI & UHNWI": A seminar by Metropolitan College's Superyacht Academy 


Metropolitan College's Superyacht Academy -which offers exclusively and for the first time in Greece study programmes in collaboration with the world-renowned British Warsash Maritime Academy, part of Southampton Solent University as well as a wide range of study programmes in Yacht Hospitality- organized in collaboration with Atalanta Golden Yachts, leader company in the greek yachting industry, the seminar: 

"A holistic ‘terroir and elusive culture’ approach in offering a Superb Yachting Experience: How to meet the standards of HNWI and UHNWI and achieve excellence in providing a unique Silver Star service"

The seminar took place at the Lecture Hall of Piraeus Campus with many distinguished guest speakers:

► Romanos Rodopoulos (Member of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan College and Head of the SuperYacht Academy) 

► Popy Kaia (Charter Director, Atalanta Golden Yachts) 

► Capt. George Parisis (Captain M/MA, MSc, Professor Metropolitan College) 

► George Poulidis (Chief Steward, Professor Superyacht Academy) 

► Daniel Counio (Editor, Yacht Way) 

The seminar focused on the need of providing high quality services in the highly demanding Yachting sector, including the mentality that Yachting crews should adopt. More specifically, speakers highlighted the importance of yachting and sea tourism for Greece whose islands are a pole of attraction for boats and yachts from all over the world. Another issue emphasized during the speeches was the high importance of training and certification in the industry, a field where countries with tradition in yachting have already taken steps. In the context of the seminar, Metropolitan College's Superyacht Academy proudly announced the successful completion of Silver Star Service programme whose graduates have already been recruited by large professional yachts.
