George Tsouris<\/strong>, Professor of Metropolitan College&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maritimeacademy.mitropolitiko.edu.gr\/en\/en_home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maritime Academy<\/a>\u00a0who was one of the Forum speakers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;YES to Shipping Forum 2020&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0, themed &#8220;Young Generation of Greece in an open dialogue with the representatives of the Greek Maritime Cluster&#8221;,\u00a0<strong>was held virtually,<\/strong>\u00a0in the context of Posidonia Web Forums Week.\u00a0<strong>Aiming to help and promote the next generation of the Greek Shipping Industry,<\/strong>\u00a0prominent members of the Greek Maritime Cluster (principal executives from the whole spectrum of the maritime cluster, prestigious academics, representatives of \u039cinistries, \u039cerchant \u039carine Academies and Shipping Organisations),<strong>\u00a0exchanged views and opinions,<\/strong>\u00a0shared valuable experiences, advices, examples, knowledge, suggestions and useful insights. Talks and discussions raised an\u00a0<strong>open dialogue<\/strong>\u00a0among principals, executives and university students, recent graduates and young executives who wish to pursue a career or already working in Shipping.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, during\u00a0<strong>&#8216;YES to Shipping Forum 2020<\/strong>&#8220;, were presented<strong>\u00a0the results of the YES FORUM research<\/strong>. The research recorded young generation&#8217;s views towards the demands and expectations the shipping industry has on them.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth mentioning that\u00a0<strong>Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of European Commission<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ioannis Plakiotakis, Minister of Shipping &amp; Insular Policy<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Niki Kerameus, Minister of Education and Religious Affairs,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>addressed remarks<\/strong>\u00a0to the esteemed guests and opened the Forum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A few words about YES to Shipping Forum<\/strong><br \/>\nYES Forum is the platform of open dialogue in the Greek Shipping and Sea Tourism Industry among principals, executives and university students, recent graduates and young executives that takes place under the auspices of the Ministries of Shipping, Education, Tourism and the majority of the Greek Universities.
