According to the\u00a0<strong>Head of the study and member of Metropolitan College\u2019s Academic Board,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Professor Gail Whiteford<\/strong>: &#8220;<em>This research is conducted in order to show how different people from all over the world spend their everyday life, in their own environment, in a range of contexts and environments from a range of ages, backgrounds and ability levels<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s leading team represents the 6 regions of WHO and aims to develop an\u00a0<strong>open data source<\/strong>. In this context,\u00a0<strong>Greece<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>is represented<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mitropolitiko.edu.gr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Metropolitan College\u2019<\/a>s\u00a0<strong>Occupational Therapy academic team<\/strong>, Mrs Poli Skaltsi and Dr Panagiotis Siaperas (<a href=\"https:\/\/mitropolitiko.edu.gr\/en\/faculty-of-health-sciences-news\/3234-institute-of-occupational-science-and-rehabilitation-by-metropolitan-college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Institute of Occupational Science and Rehabilitation<\/a>\u00a0coordinator).<\/p>\n<p>Content is continuously updated with\u00a0<strong>videos that depict simple everyday activities<\/strong>\u00a0that are included in a human\u2019s daily routine, such as filming &amp; photography, fishing, playing electric guitar, knitting, working at a bakery, crafting, making coffee etc.\u00a0<strong>Main goal is to increase the global understandings of the meaning of everyday \u201cdoing\u201d or occupations of people<\/strong>. Research\u2019s results will be officially launched at the WFOT Congress in Paris, in 2022. In this context,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mitropolitiko.edu.gr\/en\/bachelor-degrees-undergraduate-programs\/faculty-of-health-sciences\/bsc-hons-occupational-therapy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Metropolitan College\u2019s Occupational Therapy Department<\/a>\u00a0students created their own video content, under the guidance of their teachers, Mrs Skaltsi and Mr Meladakis. In addition, it brings them in contact with\u00a0<strong>practices<\/strong>\u00a0from around the world that\u00a0<strong>enhance<\/strong>\u00a0their potential in terms of\u00a0<strong>skills<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>knowledge<\/strong>\u00a0and, undeniably, helps them to\u00a0<strong>build a strong network in Occupational Therapy.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is worth mentioning that Metropolitan College\u2019s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mitropolitiko.edu.gr\/en\/bachelor-degrees-undergraduate-programs\/faculty-of-health-sciences\/bsc-hons-occupational-therapy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is provided in partnership with\u00a0<strong>Queen Margaret University<\/strong>\u00a0and is approved by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
