The Podiatry Programme Leader of Metropolitan College, Mr Georgios Gkrimas, put together an itinerary to make it a memorable experience for both students and staff of the two institutions.<\/p>\n<p>During the 3-day-visit to Athens, students had the opportunity to collaborate and exchange views.\u00a0QMU staff and students were shown around\u00a0<strong>the state-of-the-art premises of the College Athens Downtown<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Campus<\/strong>\u00a0and supported our students in\u00a0<strong>treating real patients at the College Podiatry Training Clinic<\/strong>.\u00a0After that, they attended a seminar about \u201cGait Assessment &amp; Orthotic Devices Design\u201d led by Dr Giannis Giakas, Professor at the University of Thessaly and Biomechanics Research Coordinator of the Institute of Human Performance and Rehabilitation of the Centre of Research and Technology \u2013 Thessaly.<\/p>\n<p>They also<strong>\u00a0visited the Gait &amp; Motion Analysis Lab, ELEPAP,<\/strong>\u00a0where they had the chance to observe, for the first time, the procedure of a gait analysis.
