OFFICE

The International Programmes Office has as its core business to facilitate and promote all facets of internationalisation at Metropolitan College.

It aims to be the first port of call for all international students and provides a wide range of services including general enquiries from prospective students, advice on the application for visa and study permits and general advice about their stay at Metropolitan College. The International Programmes Office is made up of full and part-time dedicated staff as well as a team of Student Ambassadors.

Key roles

International Programmes Office key roles cover issues relevant to:
student exchanges and study abroad,
signature special programmes,
international student recruitment,
specialist support services for students,
staff and academic visitors from overseas,
relationships with overseas partners and sponsors,
transnational education initiatives.

Key responsibilities

The College Director, the Chairman of the Academic Board and the International Programmes Office have key responsibilities for the development and implementation of the College’s internationalisation strategy. 
The strategy recognises that internationalisation stretches across all of the different portfolios and that all of the College’s Professional Services have a role in supporting faculties in the delivery of the strategy.
