The mission of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Metropolitan College is the training of new health professionals and scientists who are able to meet the requirements of the modern labour market and contribute to scientific developments.
The courses are offered in collaboration with top International Universities: Queen Margaret University, Oxford Brookes University and University of East London.
They are upgraded according to the latest scientific developments and are based on the application of contemporary treatment methods with the use of cutting-edge technology and new generation diagnostic equipment that the propriety laboratories of the Metropolitan College possess.
During their studies, students have the opportunity to perform clinical training in numerous health organisations that the College collaborates with, so that they can acquire a solid scientific background as well as professional skills which are necessary for their professional development at a national and international level.

International Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Conference
Metropolitan College has established the Institute of Occupational Science and Rehabilitation in order to support and contribute in research projects that promote science progress.
As a reward for the IOSR activity, Metropolitan College Faculty of Health Sciences is a World Rehabilitation Alliance (WRA) accredited member, a WHO global network for the implementation of the “Rehabilitation 2030” initiative.

“In the context of the practical and clinical training of Metropolitan College students in the Dietetics-Nutrition Department of the AHEPA University General Hospital of Thessaloniki, students have the opportunity to learn about the profession of clinical dietitians through observation of daily clinical practice and to come into contact with a wide and different range of clinical cases which will help them witness in practice proper communication and the nutritional handling of various diseases. Furthermore, they are in a position to see the operation of a meal production unit as well as the supply and distribution of food in clinics, which we deem important for the students’ future as professional dieticians.”

“Only positive experiences emerged from the clinical training performed by Metropolitan College students in the Occupational Therapy Department of the Kalamaria Open Care Centre for the Elderly (KAPI). “Since 2012, the ‘Filoktitis’ Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre has been accepting students for their clinical training in collaboration with the Metropolitan College. In this context, students have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge to inpatients and outpatients who suffer from Neurological, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Cardiological diseases, as well as to patients hospitalised in Increased Care Units. Students practice their professional skills under the guidance and supervision of experienced clinical instructors in an interdisciplinary environment, with the main objective being maximisation of learning, which is achieved through excellent collaboration with the College’s respective departments as well as through the students’ eagerness to learn.”
