Description
The BSc (Hons) Nursing, prepares students to provide safe and effective care with confidence and respect for the patient, using a mixed approach of learning, teaching and assessment. Lectures, seminars, simulation and clinical practice are methods which contribute to the learning of Nursing Science.
Nursing is an evolving profession whose continuous development demands up to date scientific knowledge and clinical competences. It also demands extended research in nursing and other disciplines, such as medicine, psychology, medical sciences, etc. New approaches to health care and new advances in technology lead to the increasing need of high quality nursing studies. Thus, a comprehensive course in Nursing should aim to present current developments in theory and clinical practice, promote an interdisciplinary approach to health care, and support a critical approach to learning and practicing.
