Metropolitan College collaborates with Rutgers School of Health Professions

Metropolitan College partners with Rutgers School of Health Professions, one of the leading USA Universities.

Pursuing the vision of Metropolitan College’s Global University Hub to promote Greece’s position on the regional and global education scale, Metropolitan College starts a new academic collaboration with Rutgers University, one of the leading USA Universities globally.

The partnership between Metropolitan College Faculty of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and Rutgers School of Health Professions aims to enhance the educational opportunities available to Rutgers Occupational Therapy Doctoral students who address the health and social needs of individuals residing in Greece.

Starting in 2023, Metropolitan College’s Faculty members of the interprofessional team, as well as students, will provide project mentorship and supervision to Doctoral students, following the Doctoral Capstone Experiential component of their studies which is one of the accreditation requirements.

Collaborating with top international universities, developing and nurturing long-term relationships with our partners, reflects Metropolitan College's vision to upgrade the country's higher education sector, promoting Greece’s position on the regional and global education scale.

The intention is to allow the Doctoral student to demonstrate synthesis of advanced knowledge in a practice area as they develop in-depth experience in one or more of the following areas: Community work, Clinical practice skills, Research skills, Administration, Leadership, Program and Policy Development, Advocacy, Education, and Theory Development.

It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is member of the World Rehabilitation Alliance (WRA), a World Health Organization (WHO) global network of stakeholders whose mission is to support the implementation of the “Rehabilitation 2030” initiative.
