Metropolitan College had the pleasure of welcoming 18 students and two faculty members from Neumann University (Pennsylvania, USA), who are enrolled in the Healthcare Management programme, as part of an international educational experience focusing on the Greek healthcare system and health promotion.
The programme was designed and delivered by Metropolitan College, combining academic lectures, interactive workshops and educational visits, offering participants a comprehensive insight into healthcare services in Greece, as well as the key factors contributing to health and wellbeing, including the Mediterranean diet, physical activity and everyday lifestyle habits.
Throughout the week, students visited healthcare facilities and sports centres, engaged with healthcare professionals, participated in cooking workshops centred around Mediterranean nutrition and explored important historical and cultural sites across Greece.
A key element of the programme was the meaningful interaction with Metropolitan College students, who took part in joint educational activities and discussions, exchanging experiences and perspectives on their studies, different educational systems and contemporary challenges in the healthcare sector.
At the same time, members of Metropolitan College’s academic community delivered lectures and workshops focusing on the Greek healthcare system, the principles of Mediterranean nutrition and contemporary rehabilitation practices, providing participants with valuable knowledge through an experiential learning approach.
The visit concluded with highly positive feedback from the students and faculty members of Neumann University, who highlighted the warm hospitality, the high standard of Metropolitan College’s educational facilities, the advanced technologies available in its laboratories, and the valuable opportunities for engagement with students and academic staff.
Initiatives such as this strengthen Metropolitan College’s international outlook and reaffirm its commitment to providing educational experiences that combine academic excellence, global collaboration and intercultural exchange.
