Metropolitan College – the largest UK TNE provider in Greece, offering more than 55 Bachelors and Masters in collaboration with 5 distinguished public British Universities – participated in the Higher Education Forum on Transnational Education (TNE) organized by the British Council at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
Mrs Kalliopi Rodopoulou, Managing Director of Metropolitan College, Prof. Dinos Arkoumanis, President of the Academic Council and Dimitris Diamantis, General Manager were present at the Forum, where discussions focused on the future of higher education in Greece after Brexit, an important issue for both countries, Greece being the first country in Europe in numbers of transnational (TNE) students.
For Metropolitan College, the meeting was of high importance because of its undisputed first place in the number of UK TNE students through its collaborations with 5 distinguished UK Universities, and the recent establishment of its Naval Academy in Piraeus in May 2018.
At the reception that followed the Forum, Mrs Kalliopi Rodopoulou and Prof. Dinos Arkoumanis had the opportunity to meet with HRH Prince Charles, during his official visit to Athens, and inform him about the international collaborations and strategic prospects for the development of Metropolitan College.
