Metropolitan College reinforces the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management by introducing its new collaboration with American Hotel and Lodging Αssociation [AHLA] and more specifically, with its educational institute, American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute [AHLEI]. The multi- awarded Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management became the only Global Academic Partner of AHLEI in Greece.
Located in Washington, AHLA has been the foremost representative and advocate for the U.S. lodging industry. It is the only national association that represents all segments of an industry that is among the 10 largest business sectors in America. Their mission it to serve, to support and to advocate on behalf of the American hospitality industry. More specifically, they provide strategic advocacy, communications support, and educational resources to their members so they can do their best at what matters most: serving guests, employees and their communities. Counting more than 25.000 memberships, it represents 3 million rooms in total. This equals 50% of the industry.
AHLEI, the educational arm of AHLA, since 1953, serves the needs of international learning institutions and hotel organizations through its licensed affiliates. The Educational Institute has licensees in nearly 100 countries connecting AHLEI’s hospitality education and professional development resources. For more than 65 years, AHLEI has worked to provide hospitality organizations and schools with quality resources to train, educate, and certify hospitality professionals. More than 2.000 Colleges and universities use AHLEI’s hospitality textbooks (Educational Institute textbooks) and courses to educate future hospitality leaders.
Metropolitan College as a Global Academic Partner is licensed to offer the renowned AHLEI courses which, through their successful completion, lead to worldwide recognised AHLA diplomas and provide students globally-recognized credentials.
