Metropolitan College projects shortlisted for the 2024 QS Reimagine Education Awards

Two projects from Metropolitan College projects have been nominated by the prestigious institution that highlights innovative practices in the education realm.

Once again being recognized for its pioneering educational work, commitment to excellence, and strategic partnerships, Metropolitan College secured a place among the finalists of the most prestigious awards in the global higher education sector. Metropolitan College has been shortlisted for the 2024 QS Reimagine Education Awards. 

The two shortlisted projects are: 

1. ‘Transforming Global Business Education: Pioneering Pathways to Future-Ready Leaders’ – Nominated for the Innovation in Business Education Award.
2. ‘Transforming Higher Education through Global Partnerships and Innovation’ – Nominated for the Power of Partnerships Award 

It is worth mentioning that, with over 1,300 submissions across 18 award categories, this year’s competition was intense. The first round of evaluations was conducted by more than 800 international judges, showcasing an impressive array of innovative projects. The Awards Ceremony, where the winners will be announced, as well as the conference will be held in London, on December 9-11, 2024.

The project, titled “Transforming Global Business Education: Pioneering Pathways to Future-Ready Leaders,” emphasizes creating a transformative learning environment that integrates technology, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural collaboration. The Metropolitan College Business School offers programmes like the Global Business Incubator, Virtual Exchange Programmes, and tech-powered curriculum that aim to develop real-world skills and technological proficiency among students. These initiatives bridge the gap between theory and practical application, ensuring graduates are prepared for the dynamic global marketplace.
The School also focuses on expanding career services, enhancing soft skills, and providing hands-on industry collaborations to ensure that students are well-equipped for future leadership roles.

The initiative, titled “Transforming Higher Education through Global Partnerships and Innovation,” aims to democratize education by leveraging strategic alliances with 6 globally renowned universities. These partnerships—comprising institutions like École Hôtelière de Lausanne and Oxford Brookes University—enable the delivery of a world-class, multi-campus curriculum tailored to meet both global standards and local needs across Greece.
The project seeks to bridge socio-economic and geographical gaps, ensuring accessible, high-quality education, while aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. By focusing on emerging industries such as hospitality, healthcare, and maritime management, the initiative fosters workforce development and regional socio-economic growth.
