The increase of smart devices use in every home or business location is one of the latest high tech consumer trends. How many of us though are aware of the digital threats of this trend? For many manufacturers, the user-friendly profile of these devices overpowers their safety standards, something that cannot be easily discerned by the final consumer.
Metropolitan College’s post-graduate team of the Department of Computing, after completion of their latest research project presented during the Workshop, came to the conclusion that it is crucial to inform the public regarding these threats, with a simple but measurable and comparable way. During the Workshop, the latest generation of digital threats will be pointed out and the students’ research team will present a new method through which one can inform consumers but also alert smart devices manufacturers.
It is worth mentioning that the Workshop was fully booked and received the warm interest of all attendants.
