On November 4 graduate students on MArch Architecture of the University of Portsmouth visited Metropolitan College in the context of collaboration between the two educational institutions.
During their stay in Athens on November 5 they had a guided tour of the Visitor Centre of SNFCC along with Metropolitan College graduate students of Architecture. In the context of the laboratory course (studio) ‘Architectural Design: Strategy’, the students worked in the same area (Delta Faliro), addressing different architectural and urban issues.
The meeting of the students of two educational institutions was wrapped up with a design charrette, where teams from both divisions submitted a joint proposal on an architectural design strategy for the region.
Please note that Metropolitan College entered into a new partnership with the University of Portsmouth in the academic year 2015-2016, whereby it offers graduate programmes in Architecture (MArch Architecture and Urbanism) and Civil Engineering (MSc Civil Engineering), a unique provision in Greece.
