To meet the high demand for Oracle professionals, the Metropolitan College is collaborating with Oracle University by becoming an Oracle University Workforce Development Program partner in Greece. The Oracle University Workforce Development Program is a program that aims to help educational organizations worldwide prepare a new generation of IT Specialists, capable of entering the IT and technology sectors with the most sought after contemporary knowledge and skills.
The training program helps meet the growing shortage of qualified personnel, which have been identified in the technology sector worldwide. Students have the opportunity to attend courses and gain the professional skills required for entering the competitive work environment by earning internationally recognized Oracle Certifications.
Metropolitan College, as part of the Oracle University Workforce Development Program, offers the ability to participate in two Oracle programs: Java SE 8 Fundamentals and Oracle Database: Introduction to SQL.
After attending the training, students get the edge they need to start their new career by demonstrating their newly acquired skills through an Oracle Certification exam. The courses are taught by qualified teachers of the Metropolitan College. In addition to being able to offer traditional, in-class training on Oracle’s many technologies, a digital learning solution called Oracle Student Learning Subscriptions is offered to students. The material for each course includes video tutorials, practical training in the use of Cloud and special online educational seminar preparation for passing the certification exam.
“The growing digitalization demands new skills and competencies from both employees and future ones. Through the Oracle University Workforce Development Program, we aim to equip students with the most in-demand skills and in-depth understanding of the IT industry’s requirements. In addition to in-class training provided by Oracle University, students at the Metropolitan College also have access to a modern and flexible learning approach through the Oracle Student Learning Subscriptions. We are happy to introduce students to the latest know-how and help them in building their career path.”, said Mark Taylor, Vice President, Oracle University, Europe, Middle East, Africa.
