HoTEL Open Forum lecture by Fotis Kokotos: “Tourism growth and sustainability”

“HoTEL Open Forum” institution by Metropolitan College’s Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism Management continues its thriving journey, offering students the opportunity to attend lectures and seminars delivered by prominent personalities of the Tourism & Hospitality industry. These guest-lectures aim to enrich their knowledge and mindset, improve their skills and therefore their competitiveness in the rapidly growing tourism industry and the demanding labor market.

Metropolitan College hosted Mr Fotis Kokotos, Member of the Board & Development Director at the Elounda S.A. Hotels & Resorts. Lecture took place at Downtown Campus’ lecture hall, attracting lots of students, graduates and tourism professionals.

Mr Kokotos talked about tourism growth and environmental protection practices focusing on the latest global sustainability trends (with emphasis on Tourism) and, also, suggesting innovative ways and forward-thinking solutions that successfully combine these two scenarios.

Μr Kokotos’ visit at Downtown Campus was concluded with a guided tour in the Campus’ premises including the brand new, fully-equipped, specialized private laboratories of Tourism Studies.

It is worth mentioning that the HoTEL OPEN FORUM (Hospitality Tourism Education League) hosts prominent personalities in the hotel industry who share with the public their valuable experiences from their multi-annual international or domestic career. Hosted lectures cover a different subject at a time, which is directly related to Hospitality Management, but also to the latest developments in the world.
