The Metropolitan College team “Quadratum” of the Department of Business Management demonstrated an outstanding performance in the annual student competition BUSINESS TALENTS GREECE, after ranking 2nd in its group and 12th in the nationwide rankings, among 584 teams coming from public universities and private colleges in Greece.
The competition hosted 2.124 students in 584 teams. In the semi-finals, 299 teams separated in groups of 5 teams competed, and only 75 of them (among them, the Metropolitan College team!) reached the finals. “Quadratum” was the only team coming from a private College in the competition! It is also worth mentioning that the team came 2nd in its group based on the criteria of cumulative profitability.
We congratulate our students Konstantina Chrisimou, George Lallas and Dimitris-Orfeas Dandolos for their success, their enthusiasm and the way they used the knowledge from their studies at Metropolitan College in the competition.
THE COMPETITION
On June 7, 2014 the student competition Business Talents 2014 was held for the first time in Greece. It is a Business Game featuring a business simulator engine. For three months, 2.300 undergraduate and graduate students from all the Universities of the country had the unique opportunity to administer their own virtual business in simulation and to develop a business strategy in order to attain their goals while in a competitive environment.
