In the context of this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Metropolitan College will provide educational content and mentorship services, in order to help 300 women working in the tourism industry to develop their digital skills.
Metropolitan College is honoured to be one of the Academic Partners of the «Small Places Big Dreams» initiative of the NPO Mexoxo. Considering the recent digital transformation, the «Small Places Big Dreams» project aims to help 300 women working in the tourism industry to develop their knowledge and expertise, in terms of digital skills.
Participants will attend webinars by Tourism and Digital Marketing experts and will be guided by their personal mentor in order to strengthen their business profile and enhance their businesses’ resilience levels, against covid-19 measures.
This new partnership is part of Metropolitan College’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. In particular, Metropolitan College will contribute as an educational institution, providing educational content and mentorship services in the “Small Places Big Dreams” project. In the context of this initiative, both professors and experienced College students and graduates from all disciplines will be invited to participate. Other educational institutions participating are École hôtelière de Lausanne (in collaboration with which the Metropolitan College offers the VET BY EHL educational programme), Grow with Google and the University of Peloponnese. The initiative is executed with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Athens.
The launch event honoured with their presence the Minister of Tourism, Mr Charis Theocharis, as well as, U.S. Ambassador, Geoffrey Pyatt. Metropolitan College was represented by Dr Triant Flouris, Vice Principal Academic Affairs.
