Faculty of Business shortlisted for "Business School of the Year"

The first nomination highlights the Faculty of Business & Economics, which competes with some of the world’s leading educational institutions and is shortlisted in the category “Business School of the Year”.

The Faculty has introduced pioneering education programmes of study, providing students with opportunities to develop and launch their entrepreneurial ideas under the guidance of experienced entrepreneurs. Additionally, it has developed innovative activities, allowing students to collaborate and exchange experiences with peers from various regions across Greece across its 8 campuses. Through targeted educational initiatives like the ‘Business Incubators,’ the Faculty nurtures entrepreneurial spirit and practical understanding of business practices, preparing graduates to excel in the global job market.

Centre of Interdisciplinary Education and Research in Rehabilitation (CIERR) shortlisted for the "Progressive Education Delivery Award"

The second nomination recognizes the Centre of Interdisciplinary Education and Research in Rehabilitation (CIERR), shortlisted for the “Progressive Education Delivery Award”, for its pioneering contribution to educational innovation in the field of rehabilitation and, more specifically, for the introduction of the Interactive Rehabilitation Education Programme.

The IREP is distinguished for its innovative pedagogical approach to rehabilitation through educational activities emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, community service, and sustainability. These include healthcare programs provided at no cost to the elderly, individuals with disabilities, young children, and low-income individuals. Under the supervision of experienced clinical professors from Metropolitan College, student teams from different scientific fields manage these cases, becoming part of the solution for the beneficiaries while gaining direct exposure and experience to the healthcare sector’s working conditions.

Moreover, CIERR leverages cutting-edge technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to offer innovative education programs, personalized learning approaches, and immersive simulations, enabling students to develop diagnostic and therapeutic skills in a safe environment.
