For the 5th consecutive year, Faculty of Computing of Metropolitan College in Thessaloniki, aiming to shed light on new aspects of Cyber Security and cover a broad range of aspects relevant to Computing, Information Security and Digital Forensics fileds, organized the lnternational Conference on Information Security and Digital Forensics (ISDF).
Hundreds of students and professionals from Greece and abroad visited Thessaloniki Campus in order to attend presentations and state-of-the-art lectures delivered by international keynote speakers, researchers and experienced representatives of the Computing field. Conference covered a lot of challenging and important aspects of interest, emerging trends and industry needs. It is worth mentioning that the Conference hosted speakers from 19 countries [USA, China, Japan, UK, Russia, France, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Finland, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Cameroon and Argentina).
Mr Athanassios Staveris-Polykalas, Adviser to the Minister Ministry of Digital Governance, opened the ceremony mentioning that: “We expect that ‘Internet of Things’ and smart data solutions will play a significant role as the main source of big data collection. Government’s ability to protect these data, reinforce online serveices’ security and create a secure digital envornment will be the reference point of our prosperity”.
