Metropolitan College’s graduates were honored at the first British Computer Society Awards 2020

Stylianos Kavalaris, Fragkiskos Emmanouil Kioupakis and Georgios Kechagias, three Metropolitan College‘s graduates were honored at the first prestigious award ceremony organized by the British Computer Society (BCS), the Chartered Institute for IT, Hellenic Section. The three distinguished IT graduates, having successfully attended and completed the MSc Information Security & Computer Forensics programme of study, received the BCS Award of Excellence for their exceptional academic performance, skills and talents during their studies at Metropolitan College.

This distinction is a key component of professional success, enabling graduates to upgrade their career and expand their professional opportunities in the Computing sector and Technology industry. It is worth mentioning that these graduates are already following a career path as executive members in multinational technology companies.

The prestigious award ceremony took place at the British Embassy in the presence of the British Ambassador, Kate Smith who welcomed the distinguished graduates and congratulated them. The ceremony was attended by the President of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, Hellenic Section, Mr Christos Stavroulakis who also gave an inspirational speech mentioning the graduates’ hard work and achievements. Metropolitan College was represented by Head of Faculty of Computing of Metropolitan College, Mr Markos Plytas. During his short greeting speech, referring to Metropolitan College’s Faculty of Computing mission, said: “Our priority is to monitor the guidance given to our profession by BCS in order to have graduates that will apply their knowledge and competences in an ethical and efficient manner towards common welfare”.
