Lecture on Marine Meteorology for Shipping and Maritime Academy students of Metropolitan College

The event is part of the Shipping Leaders in Residence lecture series, an initiative for enhancing students’ skills and knowledge.

Metropolitan College Faculty of Shipping and Maritime Studies invited Dr. Nikos Mazarakis, Professor of Marine Meteorology at the Piraeus Campus, to share his expertise and knowledge on a significant aspect of maritime activities worldwide.

“Principles and Benefits of Weather Routing Optimization” was a lecture at the intersection of meteorology, technology, and maritime logistics. The lecture went beyond theoretical knowledge, offering practical insights into a technology that is crucial for modern maritime operations.

During his speech, Dr. Mazarakis shared valuable insights on routing optimization and its benefits to safety, fuel efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness in maritime activities.
